03 - The Philosophy of the Artiste Suite.

Over almost 4 years of development and quality assurance, the Artiste Performance Suite has transformed from its original design as that of simply aiding solo performers in the execution of multiple show-time tasks via manual-one-button-triggers

to

one of a fully sequenced (pre-planned, pre-scheduled) tool capable of synchronizing different types of show-time tasks for solo performers with the addition of some capabilities designed for groups with the main focus being the support of my fascination with AB sequencing based on a duo (a group-size of 2).

The Artiste Dance Sequencer does support a maximum of 8 dancers at one time and it also allows
for group costume changes and group adorns. With the introduction of the Palette, and with Palettes being attachable, the ability to perform unthought-of group functions has been greatly expanded.

The Artiste Suite is not well-suited for the performer that makes show-time decisions at show-time.
There are better tools available. I do not recommend it for that and will discourage anyone from buying it if that is their main goal.

With the addition of the Artiste Palette, which is a method of encapsulating embedded functionality into objects that then perform under the control and synchronization of the Artiste Performance HUD, the Artiste Suite has transformed into a 'value-added' tool. This means that what goes in comes out. The more you work with the tool the more you will get out of it. And you have the ability to create assets that are uniquely yours unlike anyone else's with the endless combinations of Palette behaviors and parameters available.

This means that your level of effort in experimenting, and trial-and-error, will likely produce something unique that you can claim as 'your own'. What is this new ASSET that is uniquely yours and own-able by you? Simply put, it is  your choice of parameters for the 3 notecards that define a Palettes characteristics and behavior in concert with any commands issued from the Artiste Performance HUD that controls 1 or more Palettes. Those are 'yours'. They are, by default, not visible to others who examine your HUD or Palette.

What level of effort goes into the 'added value ASSET' of the Artiste Suite? It is the time spent:
1) Experimenting with combinations of features, especially with the Palette,
2) aligning and synchronizing Palettes and animations
3) synchronization of events
4) learning what it can do by reading the manuals and asking questions.
5) methodical debugging.

With the permissions system, you can: sell, share, trade, or give away your Artiste ASSETS to others. It has value because it results in capabilities and behavior to  others who also own the Artiste.
